Abstract were invited to three themes and to open sessions. The three themes were:
- New developments and new relevant research results. Especially targeted Ph.D. and master students as a place to disseminate their results.
- Life Cycle information and Communication. In particular intended to share practical experiences about how to acquire, present and report life cycle assessment data, according to scientific methodology, ISO standards and pragmatics.
- Life Cycle Harmonisation and Initiatives. Bringing the latest news on international intiatives, activities and standards.
Abstracts submitted to the open sessions were grouped into three sessions related to the topic of the presentations. The three sessions were:
- Application of LCA methodologies.
- Application of Life Cycle Thinking in Society and regulation.
- Company experiences with application of LCA.
